Community Alert-- Welfare Check/Suspicious Circumstances

On June 3rd, 2018 between 12:30 am and 4:00 am, a 22 year old female was found passed out and initially unresponsive outside a university building at 4:00 am. Her last known recollection of the evening was being at the Kappa Sigma fraternity on the Stanford campus at 12:30. She recalls consuming 3 mixed drinks at a party at the Kappa Sigma fraternity prior to losing her memory.

The Department of Public Safety is conducting an investigation into this matter. If you have information about this incident, please call the Stanford University Department of Public Safety at (650) 329-2413.

Stanford University does not tolerate sexual assault, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment or any attempts to commit these acts. Providing, allowing or encouraging an individual to consume food or drink that contains potentially harmful substances, especially if the person is unaware/uninformed about the substance being ingested, is unacceptable and in some situations may constitute a crime.

The University encourages anyone who has been the victim of any crime to immediately notify the police, as well as university officials. The university also encourages individuals to report potential violations of university policy to a university official in a timely manner.
