Residential Burglary

Between 8/31/19 at 3:30 PM and 9/1/19 at 8:20 PM, a Burglary occurred on a residence of the 900 block of Lathrop Place. The suspect, who remains unknown, entered the residence via an open window. Additionally, on 9/2/19 between the hours of 3:30 AM and 4:00 AM, a resident of the 800 block of Lathrop Drive received an alert from their home security system. Security camera footage at the residence showed an unknown race male subject, approximately 5’8” and of average build, loitering near the residence’s garage and driveway, then walk slowly back to the street. The suspect remains unknown.

The Stanford police encourage individuals to keep their doors and windows locked. Additionally, we ask the community who observe suspicious activity or behavior such as an individual loitering around vehicles, peering into vehicles, and/or trying door handles, or loitering near entrances to private residences, to call 9-1-1 immediately.

If you do become the victim of a crime, please report it immediately to the local law enforcement jurisdiction. If the property which has been stolen contains sensitive or confidential data, report the theft immediately to the University's Privacy Office at (650)725-1828 or privacy@stanford.edu.
