Incident: Thefts from residences and prowling

Dates and Time: 11/10/20

Locations: 900 block of Mears Ct., 800 block of Sonoma Terrace, 800 block of Cedro Way, 700 block of Mayfield Ave.

Additional details: On 11/10/2020, three thefts from residences and a prowler were reported to the Stanford University Department of Public Safety (SUDPS). These incidents occurred overnight between 11/9/2020 and 11/10/2020. Surveillance camera footage from one incident showed two individuals checking whether vehicle doors were unlocked in the residence’s carport. At this time, it is unknown whether all these crimes are related, and investigations are ongoing. The dates, times and locations of these crimes are noted below. Crime: prowling
Location: 800 block of Cedro Way

Date and time of incident: sometime on the night of 11/9/20 or morning of 11/10/20
Crime: bicycle theft
Location: 700 block of Mayfield Ave.

Prevention tips:
The Stanford Department of Public Safety encourages residents to lock their doors and windows for both their vehicles and residence. Be attentive to your surroundings and promptly report suspicious activities by calling 9-1-1. Provide as much detailed information as possible when reporting. Suspicious activity can include: loitering on or around private property, manipulating vehicle door handles, looking into locked vehicles, trying to conceal oneself when observed.
