SUDPS General Orders

Per a memorandum of understanding, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) must comply with the General Orders of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. DPS may have policies that are specialized for campus operations and reporting structures. If a DPS General Order has not yet been finalized, the Sheriff’s Office General Order is applicable. The Sheriff’s Office documents are distinguished below with the links in green.

University Policies

As Stanford University Employees, SUDPS sworn personnel must comply with the policies in the Stanford University Administrative Guide.

To submit a CPRA request, email police@stanford.edu. Include the requested information or "CPRA request" in the subject line. Your message will be forwarded to the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, as they maintain ownership of the records.
