INCIDENT: Bike Thefts and Theft of Bike Parts

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
The Stanford Department of Public Safety (SUDPS) has noticed a recent rise in bike thefts on campus. The majority of the bikes were locked when the thefts occurred. In one of the reported incidents, a suspect was seen outside the Bing Concert Hall using a power tool to remove a lock. He was interrupted before being able to complete the theft and was last seen riding away on a different bike.
The suspect (who is still outstanding) was described by a witness as a white male, thirties, medium build, wearing all black clothing, a black baseball cap and black fingerless cycling gloves. According to the witness, the suspect was playing loud music from a portable speaker when leaving the scene.

PREVENTION TIPS:
Be attentive to your surroundings and promptly report suspicious activity by calling 9-1-1. Notice and try to provide as much detailed information as possible when reporting.
