Alleged Perpetrator #1, as observed or perceived by victim/witness:

Gender: Male Race/Ethnicity Descriptors: Polynesian

Clothing: Black sweater, black shorts

Other Descriptors: Curly brown hair, fresh tattoo on left forearm, carrying a black handgun and leaving the scene with a blue bike.

Updated Details: Witnesses last saw the alleged perpetrator at the Stanford Shopping Center, moving toward Sand Hill Road. Reports of the alleged perpetrator in the area of Quarry Road were not confirmed. Palo Alto Police Department is the lead agency investigating. According to their officers on scene, witnesses saw an orange tip on the gun and heard the gun click during the robbery, leading them to believe it may have been a toy gun. Initial reports of actual gunfire have not been substantiated. Palo Alto Police as well as Stanford DPS and other neighboring agencies searched for the alleged perpetrator, who is still outstanding.
