Stanford Public Safety Transparency Dashboard
The Stanford Department of Public Safety is dedicated to providing the Stanford and neighboring communities insight into their day to day activities by publishing data related to community contacts, vehicle stops, police reports, and arrest data. In addition to providing access to review data related to our day to day activity, the Stanford DPS Transparency dashboard is the centralized resource for other important information such as access to the Santa Clara County City Protect Crime map, links to our policies, procedures, and training documentation, and our Memorandum of Understanding with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's office.
Please take the time to review each, and please reach out to police@stanford.edu if you have any questions or comments.
About the Stanford Department Safety Transparency Dashboard
The Stanford Department of Public Safety Transparency Dashboard contains information pulled directly from the Stanford DPS report management system. The information related to reports taken, arrests made, public contacts (Field Interviews), and vehicle stops are uploaded into Microsoft Power BI to give the general public the ability to sort and or review each category by year, month, sex/gender, race/ethnicity, age, and other report-specific criteria.
Please note that the information uploaded to the transparency dashboard is manually uploaded with a goal of monthly updates as reports and cases are completed. Also, as more information becomes available for certain reports or arrests, the information may change to reflect the new or more accurate findings.
