UPDATE: 10/04/26, At 6:00 a.m., this incident is still under investigation. Stanford Deputies, with the assistance of Palo Alto Police Officers, searched the area and campus; however, the unknown suspect has not been located. Please call Palo Alto Communications at (650) 329-2413 if you have any information related to this incident. Safety Reminders Lock doors and windows, especially in the evening and when you leave your room or residence. Do not prop open exterior doors or let in people you do not know. Keep valuables out of sight and secure them when you are away. Report suspicious activity to police. Call 911 if there is an immediate emergency. ALERTSU: 10/03/26, At 1:07 a.m., Update on suspect description: Older black male with short gray hair, approx 5'9", thin build. Wearing all-black clothing and a black backpack. Additional information: At approximately 11:40 p.m., the person described above broke a window screen of a student's room and, according to the reporting party, a student, the suspect threatened to shoot him. The victim stated the suspect showed his waistband, but no firearm was seen. The suspect left the area on a dark colored bicycle. Be alert.
